Around hotel Storfors live reindeer. It all started with the white reindeer 'Snow Crystal'. He is by his previous owner always used in markets with sleigh rides and to attract customers for the sale of wildlife products. Now he enjoys his 'retirement' and our guests. Snow Star is very tame and thinks getting attention is pretty cool and icelandic moss is delicious! Because reindeer are herd animals, he has now been joined by a female reindeer.
Hotel guests may go in with the reindeer and help to feed.
Reindeer are the only deer species where both males and females carry antlers. Every year a new pair of antlers grow again. They also have a very special coat.
