Värmland region and the Bergslagen Region are known for their wealth of culture. It is the birthplace and inspiration for Selma Lagerlöf (Nobel Laureate, Nils Holgersson, Gösta Berlingsaga, Rottneros Park), Ferlin, the world-famous inventor Eriksson and the worldwide known Alfred Nobel. Here was where the industrial development began, and where still many impressive buildings and mines tell yheir stories from the past and can be visited.
The Bergslagen region is also the most mineral rich in the world! The museums Kristinehamn, Örebro and Värmland (Karlstad) are very well known and have surprising annual exhibitions. A week through past, present and future. Impressive, humorous and unforgettable!
